Healthy Food + Healthy Habits for Wayzata Schools: Who We Are

About Us

A group of Wayzata Public Schools parents working to improve the meal program and wellness policies across our schools. We formed in Fall 2017 and have grown to 1,200+ members.

Our goals:

- Remove concerning ingredients from school menus, including trans fats and hydrogenated oils, high-fructose corn syrup, hormones and antibiotics, processed and artificial sweeteners, artificial colors and flavors, artificial preservatives, and bleached flour.

- Improve the lunch experience so kids have time to eat more of their meal in a comfortable environment.

- Ensure a fully developed wellness policy including but not limited to nutritional education, reducing sugar in the menu, and scheduling recess before lunch.
